My completion time frame and availability are determined by the number of projects I have in my queue and the length of each work. I will be able to give you a hard date when we discuss your project. Return clients receive a 10% discount. Payment is typically through PayPal, but if you need alternate arrangements, we can discuss options.

Genres
I read and edit most mainstream genres, so if your piece does not fit into a main category (or multiple main categories), please reach out to me to inquire.
The fictional genres I am most fluent in are (in no particular order): Sci-Fi, Horror, Fantasy, Dystopian, Thriller, Mystery and Detective, Young Adult, and Romance. I am also experienced in non-fictional work like Self-Help, Spiritual/Religious, Business, and Memoirs.
Editing
In addition to freelance editing, I currently work with Author Academy Elite as a Master-level editor. I offer four services: Developmental Edits, Line Edits, Copy Edits, and Proofreading. Completion time depends on the type of edit and the timeline. I have a page titled “Edited Works” (listed under About Diana) as examples of some of my work that is available on Amazon.

I have listed a range of rates (cents per word – cpw) for the four different types of edits, but the specifics of your project will dictate exact pricing.
Developmental Edit:
* For a completed fiction and non-fiction manuscript = 1.8 cpw (2.5 cpw for rush order)
** Please reach out to me if you are looking for assistance with an incomplete manuscript (even if you only have an outline prepared), and we can discuss options based on where you are in the process.
Line Edit:
* Fiction and non-fiction = 1.5 cpw (2.3 cpw for rush order)
Copy Edit:
* Fiction and non-fiction = 1.2 cpw (2.1 cpw for rush order)
* Non-fiction fact-checking only (quotes, biblio, etc.) = 2.5 cpw (3.8/wd for rush order)
Proofreading:
* Fiction and non-fiction = 1.2 cpw (2.1 cpw for rush order)
Beta Reader
Having done some editing and revisions to create your second, third, or even final draft is no easy task, so props to you! As a beta reader, I will review the overall structure, plot holes, and character arcs. I will also let you know if there were parts I found confusing and what I loved the most. If there are specific details you would like me to look out for (like a specific scene or character), please let me know.
My editing background is a valuable asset when doing beta reads because I can identify potential issues that more casual readers may not, saving you a great deal of time and money on future revisions and edits.

Fee: $5 for every 5,000 words (with a $5 minimum for stories under 5,000 words).
